Diuretic APIs

Diuretic APIs is a type of compound that promotes the kidneys to excrete electrolytes and water retained in the body and increases urine production. Clinically, these compounds are used to treat edema, pulmonary edema, and cerebral edema caused by heart, liver, kidney, and other diseases. In addition, certain drugs, such as thiazide diuretics, can also lower blood pressure. According to different sites of action and mechanisms of action, diuretic APIs are divided into six categories: thiazide diuretics, loop diuretics, potassium-sparing diuretics, carbonic acid inhibitors, osmotic diuretics, and uricosuric diuretics. It should be noted that except for potassium-sparing diuretics, they also promote potassium excretion and thus easily cause hypokalemia.

Protheragen-ING offers a full range of diuretic APIs to support customers' research worldwide.
